The 3rd Annual Taste of Westshore is Sunday, October 6 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Hillsborough Community College (HCC), 4001 W. Tampa Bay Blvd., Tampa.
Attendees will enjoy an afternoon of unlimited food, beer and wine tastings from many of Westshore’s best restaurants, and live entertainment from local musicians. The event is organized by the Westshore Alliance and HCC, and a portion of the proceeds are donated to the HCC Foundation to fund scholarships for students in their culinary and hospitality programs.
In addition to showcasing the restaurants, the event gives students in HCC hospitality programs hands-on learning experience in managing a major culinary event.
“We are excited to invite members of the community to our campus to experience the skills that our talented students have acquired through our culinary management program as they cook alongside many of the area’s finest chefs,” says Fred Jaeger, program manager.
Advance general admission tickets are $35 ($25 for those ages 11 to 20; free for children 10 and under). VIP tickets are $50 and offer guests access to an air conditioned lounge, private restrooms, craft beer and specialty wine tastings. All ticket prices increase by $10 the day of the event.
