‘A Christmas Carol’ Holding Auditions at Carrollwood Players

The shows run end of November through December.

 

The Carrollwood Players will hold auditions for “A Christmas Carol” tonight for adults and Wednesday, August 29 from 7 to 9 p.m. for youth and adults. 

Auditions will consist of cold readings from the script at the theater, 4333 Gunn Highway in Carrollwood.

The cast will include 21 adult roles: 10 female and 11 male, as well as 11 youth roles: five female and six male.

Directed by Jim Russell, with stage adaption by Joe Pauly, this holiday’s “A Christmas Carol” casts a woman in the role of the ill-tempered Scrooge.

Cockney or Upper Class English dialect is preferred for roles, but not required for audition. Anyone interested in being a caroler should prepare to sing 16 bars of any song a cappella.

The Carrollwood Players will perform the show November 30 through December 22.
