2-Day Festival Marks Cultural Center’s Anniversary This Weekend

The annual Arts in the Park at the Carrollwood Cultural Center takes place March 16-17, marking the facility's fifth anniversary.

The Carrollwood Cultural Center is turning 5 and you’re invited out to celebrate this weekend, March 16-17.

The annual two-day Arts in the Park festival takes place in the park behind the center at 4537 Lowell Road. Attractions include displays by local artists, hands-on activities for kids, food vendors and live entertainment. Art on display will include jewelry, fiber, photography, mix media, watercolors and more, according to center spokeswoman Adrienne Hutlemyer.

“We're going to have around 40 vendors at the event along with food vendors, a sidewalk book sale and activities for kids,” she said. “At the Center's tent, we are going to have some surprises in honor of our fifth anniversary. Guests will be able to enjoy the art and entertainment outside as well as tour the Mudslinger Pottery Studio and the inside of the Center throughout the day.”
