World of Beer Celebrating One-Year Anniversary on Saturday

World of Beer will celebrate one year of hearty beers and happy customers with an anniversary party on Saturday. The Carrollwood bar, 12904 N. Dale Mabry Highway, will host an all-day event featuring deals on drafts, free food, live entertainment and more.

“It’s to thank all the people that have made this such a great bar in its first year,” said owner Philippe Theodore.

Doors will open at noon Saturday, and complimentary food will be available starting at 2 p.m.

From noon to 5 p.m., World of Beer will offer select drafts for half price. The bar serves more than 500 different beers, and about 40 different drafts, with a constantly changing menu.

For entertainment, local acoustic guitarist/singer Brian Spotts will perform from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Orlando rock duo Chuck & Nimble will take the stage from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. World of Beer will also host a cornhole tournament starting at 5 p.m. with contests and giveaways throughout the event.

Theodore said the party will offer something for everyone.

“We get all kinds of people from the community coming in,” he said. “It’s helping us to be that local pub we came here to be.”

World of Beer is located at 12904 N. Dale Mabry Hwy. Patrons must be 21+ with a valid photo ID to enter after 7 p.m.
