Walker Students to Host 2nd Animal Shelter Fair

The students at Walker Middle Magnet School for International Studies are raising funds for abused and neglected animals.

With the hope of helping furry friends who have been abused and neglected, the students at Walker Middle Magnet School for International Studies, 8282 N. Mobley Rd., Odessa, will host their second annual Animal Shelter Fair Saturday, March 23 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Residents are invited to bring along their own pets for a day of food and games including an obstacle course, a walkathon, photos with owners and pets, face painting and contests such as bobbing for hot dogs.

Local shelter groups will on hand with pets available for adoption.

The students hope to raise $1,000 to be donated to local animal shelters.
