Viewfinder: Scenes Around Town
Northdale garage sale, Kiwanis Mayor Luncheon and McDonald's grand opening are part of the happenings in Carrollwood this last week.
It's been a busy week in Carrollwood and Northdale.
On Wednesday, the Carrollwood Kiwanis hosted a community luncheon with Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn at the Carrollwood Cultural Center. During the event, the mayor talked about future plans for the city of Tampa, and the National Republican Convention being held next year in Tampa.
Saturday morning's Northdale Community Garage Sale brought out bargin hunters from around the Tampa Bay area to find a wide variety of items offered for sale by residents. Everything from children's items and exercise equipment to collectibles and furniture could be found throughout the neighborhood.

Also, McDonald's held their grand re-opening of their North Dale Mabry Highway location. Free food, prize drawings, face painting and pictures with Ronald McDonald and the Hamburglar were part of the fun.
