Ten Great Places to Spend New Year’s Eve

If you don’t want to sit at home and watch the ball drop this year, Patch has discovered ten cool New Year’s Eve events for you to check out in and around Carrollwood:

1. , 10400 North Florida Avenue, is hosting a family-friendly Pizza Party on New Year's Eve from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m. For $40 per lane, up to six guests can bowl with shoe rental included; enjoy a one-topping large pizza, and unlimited pitchers of soda. Price also includes a champagne toast for adults and party favors.
2. Carmel Café and Wine Bar, 14306 North Dale Mabry, is offering a select menu of Modern Mediterranean dishes and optional wine pairings for two to share while welcoming in the New Year. The four-course menu begins at $35 per party of two without wine and $75 with wine. Diners may also order from the full dinner menu. Ben Bryan will perform from 9 p.m. until midnight.
3. Side Splitters, 12938 North Dale Mabry, is having a special event with comedian Michael Palascak. Admission will include an open bar from 10 p.m. until 1 a.m., party favors, champagne toast, music and dancing after the show and a complimentary continental breakfast. Tickets are $15 in advance, $17 day of show.
4. Whiskey North, 11921 North Dale Mabry, is hosting an “All White Party” for New Year's Eve with a free champagne toast. Complimentary tickets are available by texting “NYE” to 813-454-5244. Regular admission is $20, VIP costs $30. 
5. The Melting Pot Restaurant, 14404 North Dale Mabry Highway, is having a special four-course menu to welcome the New Year. Book a reservation for 10:30 p.m. or later and receive a complimentary champagne toast at midnight. Cost is $109 per couple.
6. Flemings Steakhouse and Wine Bar, 4322 West Boy Scout Boulevard, is offering extended hours and a special New Year's celebration menu with three steak and seafood entrées, each priced at $69.95, in addition to their regular menu selections.
7. Skipper’s Smokehouse, 910 Skipper Road, is having the band Donna the Buffalo perform zydeco,  folk-rock, country rock, reggae and bluegrass. Tickets are available for $40 per person and include party favors, champagne toast and breakfast buffet at midnight.
8. Vizcaya Restaurante & Tapas Bar, 10905 North Dale Mabry is offering a special New Year’s Eve menu and a Flamenco dance show. There is a 6:00 p.m. and 9 p.m. seating and the cost is $65 and $70. The latter includes a champagne toast.  
9. World of Beer, 12904 North Dale Mabry Highway, is having a live DJ and champagne at midnight. There is no cover charge.
10. , 14404 N. Dale Mabry Highway, will be open from 11 a.m. until 3 a.m. Guests get champagne for a midnight toast and party favors. There will also be $3 ‘you call it’ drinks after 10:00 p.m. and customer karaoke.
