Research has shown that tai chi improves strength, balance and stamina, helping to prevent falls; increases bone density; reduces blood pressure; helps fibromyalgia symptoms and improves overall health and wellness. Students in this class will learn to move in an ergonomic and efficient manner consistent with physics and physiology.

Dr. Josef Tan will instruct the class. Tan has studied with some of the foremost masters in this ancient exercise and art form, and has been practicing tai chi in Asia and the United States for more than 40 years.
