Stall Road and Dale Mabry Seeing Signs of Growth
The intersection is home to three properties that are currently vacant; one may become a restaurant called PDQ
It was once home to Borders bookstore, Perkins Restaurant & Bakery and Denny's.
But over the past two years, bankruptcy and the economic downturn forced out the three businesses at Stall Road and Dale Mabry Highway,
Now, signs of life are sprouting at the Carrollwood intersection.

The former Perkins restaurant next door from Borders at 12650 N. Dale Mabry Highway could become a restaurant called PDQ, according to county officials. A public hearing asking for input from residents in the area will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 20 at 601 E. Kennedy Boulevard regarding the issue.
According to a Hillsborough County application from PDQ for "major modification" to the site, a request has been made by PDQ to "modify the final conditions of approval to permit a fast food restaurant with vehicle drive-through lanes and drive-up window."

Meanwhile, across the street, construction crews have been spotted for months at what used to be Denny's, 12703 N. Dale Mabry Highway, although officials have not said what the light blue structure being erected there will become.
