Rec2Six Provides Fun and Fitness For Elementary School Children

Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department offers after school activities for K-5.

Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department offers programs with a concentration in physical activity and proper nutrition.

Rec2Six’s goal is to raise a healthier generation of kids by encouraging healthy lifestyle-choices through physical activity and nutrition education.

The program also provides homework assistance, seasonal sports, fitness activities, art programs, and special activities including 4-H.

In partnership with Hillsborough County Extension’s 4-H Program, students spend 1-2 hours per week in a variety of different activities that may include robotics, building a butterfly garden, entrepreneurship, environmental learning, photography, theater arts, or visual arts.

Rec2Six is open Monday through Friday from 2 p.m. - 6 p.m. The weekly rate is $38, and reduced rates of $30 and $20 per week are available with a current school reduced or free lunch letter.
