Patch Picks: Beverage Oasis

Patch found five great places to enjoy a cool, refreshing beverage

The temperatures have reached sweltering. This is the season where Floridians are running from their cars to the next air conditioned location or laying on the beach sipping on a cold beverage.

In either location, hydration is key to preventing dehydration and lowering body temperatures. For this week’s picks, Patch found five great places to grab an ice cold beverage.

1. ,  11406D. N. Dale Mabry Highway - Whether you want your beverage to go or enjoy it on the premises, Cool Mo’s offers most of it’s coffees iced. In addition to coffee, tea and smoothies are also on the menu.

2. , 5717 Gunn Highway - Smoothie Junction features made-to-order smoothies that come in all shapes and sizes, flavors and varieties. The fruit smoothies are made from 100 percent real fruit and 100 percent real juice.

3. , 13168 N. Dale Mabry Highway - Nothing screams summer like ice cream. The only problem with ice cream is that it can be messy and not easily portable. Skip the hassle and put your ice cream into a drink. Coldstone can package your favorite flavors into a milkshake, coffee drink or smoothie for an easy way to enjoy this treat on the go.

4. , 6016 Gunn Highway - If summertime finds you frequently en route to the beach, stop by 7-Eleven. Stay hydrated with the array of choices of water, juice, soda and beer that are available in the refrigerated section. Grab a slurpee in a variety of flavors to satisfy the need for something sweet and cold.

5. 14303 N. Dale Mabry Highway - Sure the food is delicious, but the bar also toasts to some delightful happy hour specials. Happy hour revelers can build their own martinis, enjoy a variety of beer and wines and enjoy half price cocktails.
