Jimmie B. Keel Regional Library Temporarily Closed

, 2902 W. Bearss Ave. in Tampa, is temporarily closed while crews work to repair the air conditioning system. The library is expected to be closed at least through this weekend and will reopen to the public once the air conditioning system has been repaired.

Any library items that patrons have reserved for pick up at Jimmie B. Keel Library will be available for pickup at North Tampa Branch Library, 8916 North Blvd. in Tampa, during this closure. 

Items that have been transferred to North Tampa Branch Library but have not been picked up will be returned to the Jimmie B. Keel Library when it reopens, and will still be available for pick up.

Library staff members continue to collect and check in all materials that patrons return via outdoor book drops.

Library staff have directly contacted patrons who reserved rooms at Jimmie B. Keel Library through Sunday, Aug. 21 to offer alternative arrangements.  

Anyone who was planning to attend a meeting or event at Jimmie B. Keel Library this week should contact their group or organization for updates on date, time and location.

North Tampa Branch Library will have the following expanded hours to accommodate additional customers:

• Wednesday, Aug. 17:  10 a.m. to 9 p.m.
• Thursday, Aug. 18: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
• Friday, Aug. 19:  10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Saturday, Aug. 20: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
• Sunday, Aug. 21:  12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m.

North Tampa Branch Library offers a large community room, a children's room, a teen room, a quiet study room, and Internet access.
