Dance Party at Park Celebrating Museum's Birthday

Glazer Children's Museum to host third annual birthday party on Sept. 22, and offer discounted admission from September 7-30.

This just in from MJ Craig at the Glazer Children's Museum in downtown Tampa:

On September 22, the Glazer Children’s Museum will celebrate its third year as a prominent part of the City’s River Arts District.

The Glazer Children’s Museum plans to celebrate its third birthday with a Dance Party in the Park from 1-6pm. An outdoor dance party, hosted by the Official Baby Loves Disco DJ, will take place in Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park adjacent to the Museum. The event is geared toward families and will be completely free to the public.

In addition to the music and dancing, Fit Kids Playground and Nick’s World Wide Day of Play will provide outdoor children’s activities. A variety of food trucks and vendors have committed to spending the day in the park as well to provide refreshments to the public and, of course, birthday cake will be served to guests at 2pm while supplies last. For entertainment, the amateur Ashley Whippet Dog Frisbee Competition will take place from 5 to 6 p.m. in the lower portion of the park.

The Museum will feature completely free admission on Sept. 22 for the party festivities. Families can take a break from the sun and heat of the outdoor party to play indoors in the exhibits from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m. with no charge. Additionally, throughout September 7 to the 30, the Museum will be hosting $5 days, with $5 admission for all guests as a sign of appreciation to the community for their support these past three years.

“September is a month for us to celebrate our birthday with the community that has helped us become the organization we are today” said Al Najjar, President and CEO of the Museum. “With the public’s support we have made some very big strides over the past three years and are looking forward to making some very exciting announcements this year that will enhance the Museum for years to come.”
