Craving Girl Scout Cookies?

The Girl Scouts of West Central Florida are starting their 2012 Girl Scout Cookie Program today

If you're ready to fill your kitchen cabinets with Thin Mints and Samoas, local Girl Scouts troops are gearing up to begin taking pre-orders today through Jan. 27.

The Girl Scouts of West Central Florida are kicking off their cookie program in an eight-county jurisdiction that includes Citrus, Hernando, Hillsborough, Marion, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk and Sumter.

In addition to Do-Si-Dos and Tagalongs, a new type of cookie is being offered this year called Savannah Smiles, which is a lemon-flavored cookie dusted in powered sugar that's named after the city in Georgia where the Girl Scouts were founded in 1912.
