Community Garage Sale, Pumpkin Run Part of Northdale Events

As summer winds down and Hillsborough County students prepare to head back to school, the social calendar in Northdale is heating up.

Annual events in the community include a community garage sale, pumpkin run and holiday tree lighting.

"We are an active community, and we love having people from outside of Northdale come and enjoy our events," said Ann Frisbie of the Northdale Civic Association. "They are sort of a tradition we've started. We're looking to add more to our events as we get more volunteers to help out."

Mark your calendar for the following events in Northdale:

• Community garage sale from 8 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Oct. 20 around neighborhoods in Northdale
• Concert in the Park at 6 p.m. on Oct. 5 at the Northdale Recreation Center, 15550 Spring Pine Drive
• Howl O' Ween at Northdale Recreation Center on Oct. 26, time TBA
• 5K Pumpkin Run with Bob Sierra YMCA on Nov. 10, time TBA (sign up to run using active.com)
