‘Chill Out’ Soccer Moms, Dads; Parking Fixes and More Trees

Carrollwood-Northdale Patch readers have some great ideas for changing the area to make it better. What would you like added to the local landscape to make living here even better?

Improving the paving in Northdale shopping centers, planting trees in the medians of major roads and getting soccer moms and dads who drive on Gunn Highway to “chill out.”

Those are just a few of the items Carrollwood-Northdale Patch readers ticked off recently when we asked our fans on Facebook to share their ideas for making the area a better place to live, work and play.

“Besides lower the crime rate … Pave the parking lot between McD’s and Walgreens in Northdale,” wrote P.J. Rosen. “It is a constant problem that seems to get messed up a few months after it’s fixed.”

Rosen also thinks it’s time for a left-turn onto Northdale Boulevard from the parking lot exit at Walgreens and Genghis Grill.

“The construction for Whole Foods left zero consideration for those businesses in that shopping center,” she said.

Rosen wasn’t the only reader with roads on the mind.

Ligia Cohen suggested planning trees in the medians of Ehrlich Road, Gunn Highway and Dale Mabry.

Speaking of Gunn Highway, Jim Russell had this to say: “How about the crazed tailgaters on Gunn Highway. Chill out, soccer moms and dads!”
