Carrollwood Radiant Shell Celebrates Grand Opening with $3.29 Gas Today
Owner Gino Khalifa invites the Carrollwood community to enjoy deeply discounted gas at his celebration
Until 2 p.m. today, Radiant, 11302 North Dale Mabry is having a huge grand opening celebration in recognition of their second day open.
Owner Gino Khalifa is offering the community regular gas for the low price of $3.29 a gallon. If you don't mind a line, Radiant employees help direct the traffic, often five cars deep, to safely reach the pumps to fill up their tanks.
"It's our second day of the grand opening of this location," said Khalifa. "We just took over the store as the new operator here."
Among the many special events at the grand opening are a raffle for an ATV benefiting the Pediatric Children's Cancer Foundation; A Gaming Adventure providing video gaming for young and old alike; Alex's Southern Style Bar-B-Q offering 25 cent grilled hot dogs; Rockstar and Monster energy drinks; a live DJ, and clowns providing face-painting for the kids.
Radiant employees also have many prizes from insulated coffee cups to tee shirts available for a spin of their prize wheel.
While the excitement swells outside, inside the newly remodeled Radiant store, a display of cupcakes from local bakery, Glorified Cupcakes invite patrons to sample.
"We remodeled the whole store basically," said Khalifa. "We are giving a (gas) price break to everybody today."
