Breaking News: Serial Armed Robbery Suspect Sought

Deputies say man robbed three businesses, including one in Carrollwood.

The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding a man they say is responsible for a series of armed robberies in Hillsborough, Pinellas Park, St. Petersburg and the city of Tampa.

In each of the 10 robberies — one of which occurred at 10:21 p.m. on Aug. 4 at , 11107 N. Dale Mabry in Carrollwood — the suspect enters the business and displays a weapon or implies that he has one, according to the sheriff's office. After he receives cash, he flees on foot, according to the sheriff's office.

The other two robberies being investigated by the sheriff's office occurred at , 330 Fletcher Ave., on Aug. 1, and Family Dollar Store, 13336 N. 19th St., on Aug. 9.

The 10 robberies occurred between July 8 and Aug. 9, according to the sheriff's office.

The suspect has been described as a 6-foot-tall, 200-pound black man with a medium build and black hair. He has an unknown tattoo or birth mark under his left eye. He covers his face with a bandana.
