The School Principal Will Kiss a WHAT?Odessa, Florida, 3-1-2012

 

Hammond Elementary is currently holding our first Read-A-Thon, in which every child reads as many books as possible within a two week period, then collects pledges from their closest family members and friends.  If our school reaches a goal of raising $3000.00, then our school Principal, Mrs. Rattray, has agreed to KISS A PIG!

 

The kids are so excited about this Read -A-Thon.   With approximately 50% of the school submitting pledges, we have surprisingly quadrupled our goal and have raised over $12,000.00!!

 

Amazingly, the 650 children have read over 13,000 books during  this two week period.

 

The kissing of the pig will occur in front of the entire school on March 9, 2012.  The students, teachers, and families have all worked together to make this fundraiser such a fun-filled HUGE success! 

 

We are all looking forward to watching Mrs. Rattray  "PUCKER UP" and Kiss that Pig!
