The New Christy Minstrels®, under the direction of Randy Sparks, is returning to the Carrollwood Cultural Center!
The American folk music group was founded by Sparks in 1961 and found success early. Their debut album Presenting the New Christy Minstrels earned them a GRAMMY for Best Performance by a Chorus and was followed by several appearances on The Andy Williams Show.
The New Christy Minstrels® enjoyed further success with their Ramblin’ album, which went gold and featured their first major hit single, Green, Green. The group also recorded This Land is Your Land, Denver and Chim Chim Cher-ee.

More About Carrollwood Cultural Center
The cultural center offers a plethora of opportunities for residents, including classes in painting, music, art and dance. The center also provides an in-house theater company, a children's theater, concerts and an art gallery. Membership costs $50 per year individually or $95 per family. The center's staff says that what sets its center apart is that its programs allow all generations of residents to work together.
