DESCRIPTION:Social skills groups teach children a variety of social skill
 s to help children in developing skills to communicate and interact effe
 ctively with other people and within his/her environment. The goals of t
 his group are to help children make and keep friends\, develop more self
 -confidence\, and behave more appropriately while meeting the developmen
 tal needs of the individual children. Social skills groups are intended 
 to meet the developmental needs of individual children. We will work on 
 active listening\, conversational skills\, problem solving\, anger manag
 ement\, cooperation and courtesy\, and identifying and understanding per
 sonal emotions as well as the emotions of others. Children will be taugh
 t how to read social cues and how to react appropriately to them. During
  group sessions\, activities including role-plays and group interaction 
 are used so that children can practice their new skills.\n&nbsp\;\nAge G
