Viewfinder: Big Cat Rescue
A weekly photo gallery of Carrollwood and Northdale.
Located in Citrus Park, Big Cat Rescue is a big cat sanctuary that houses more than 100 exotic cats. The sanctuary offers regular guided tours and private events, and it's a major advocate for animal rights and protections. Patch went behind the scenes at Big Cat Rescue and snapped some shots of the cats in action.

Those enclosures are tiny! This is the same place that takes animals from people with larger nicer homes? They should be ashamed. Don't let BRC fool you. And if that's true about the septic...wow, just wow.

Actually, all you have to do is go to youtube and do a search for BCR. You will see their numerous video's showing the cat's enclosures, the lake that is part of some of the cat's enclosures, the foliage and stimuli these cats enjoy and the wonderful treats the cats get. They are spoiled! (I especially love the "bloodscicles" and Halloween treats!).

And they don't "take" anyone's cats. They rescue them, you know, from places that cannot take care of them anymore, owners that bought that cute tiger/lion cub (and it grows up and proves to be way more than they can handle). BCR cannot just "take" animals (though I wish they could from the people that either bought them fueling the illegal trade, and/or the ones that do not provide proper care).
Quit spreading lies. Especially ones that are obvious. It makes you look impaired.
