Tilted Kilt Closes Carrollwood Doors

The business was located on north Dale Mabry

First Burrito Boarder, and now the Tilted Kilt Pub & Eatery.

The pub at 14457 N. Dale Mabry Highway near Bearss Avenue is relocating from Carrollwood to another Tampa Bay location, according to its Facebook page.

Here's the Facebook page excerpt:

To all our customers:

We are in the process of relocating the Tilted Kilt from Carrollwood to another location in the Tampa Bay area. Our doors may be closed temporarily while we work to bring you a new and improved Tilted Kilt in Tampa. W...e are in the process of finalizing a decision on one of several premium locations. We ask that you indulge us with time to open the doors to our new location.

In the meantime - please visit us in Clearwater to see all your favorite Kilt Girls, have a great meal, and an ice cold beer. To find out when our new location will open... like our Clearwater page.

Unfortunately the mundane nightlife in Carrollwood remains to be the same as it has for the past 20 years and a place like the Tilted Kilt never seemed to fit in. It's always disappointing to see any business leave the Carrollwood area, but outside from the lovely waitresses, the food was mediocre at best and the beer was a little pricey. Good luck.

@Jerry: it is disappointing. I wonder what will take its place.

I hope another restaurant. Personally I would like to see someplace that offers food, beverage and live music, which is a scarcity on N. Dale Mabry.

I agree that The Tilted Kilt never really fit in. Carrollwood is a family-oriented neighborhood - I hope something family-friendly moves in.

The Tilted Kilt is very Family Friendly. I've taken my family there on many occasions. Why would you assume it isn't? Have you ever even been there?

I think it stinks! I am moving to the Carrollwood area soon, and was looking forward to eating there on occasion as well as take in a sporting event. Wonder if it will end up in S. Tampa....

So first..... The food was terrible. I tried it 3 times and it was awful. Also... Why wonder what happened when they hire a bunch of chicks that are full of disgusting tattoos and put them in cute outfits and serve bad/over priced food. Surely they saw that coming.
