Carrollwood and Northdale area residents might see or smell a little smoke again today. But there's no cause for concern, officials say.

The Florida Forest Service is conducting a prescribed burn for the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department today (Thursday, July 5) at Lake Park, 17302 N. Dale Mabry in Lutz. This is the second time recently a controlled burn has taken place at the park.

The burn will last one day. The purpose of the burn is for ecological site management and hazardous fuels reduction.
