National Humane Society Maintaining Animal Adoption Partnership
Three Pet Supermarket locations are adopting out cats who came from the NHS at 4039 Gunn Highway
If you're looking to adopt a furry friend, the National Humane Society at 4039 Gunn Highway has been partnering with Pet Supermarket to make sure abused or neglected cats have homes.
That partnership expanded last year to include more Pet Supermarket locations, according to Carol Childs, who runs the NHS.
Here's how the it works: Childs said that the NHS "rotates them (cats) out every few days," so that new animals are available for adoption often at Pet Supermarket. Meanwhile, Pet Supermarket allows customers to adopt the NHS cats that are in their stores for anywhere from $30 to $75.
Here are the Pet Supermarket locations in Tampa Bay with NHS cats available for adoption:
- 11409 N. Dale Mabry Highway in Carrollwood
- 2766 E. Fowler Avenue in Tampa
- 18445 U.S. 41 in Lutz
