GET OUT: Weekend Events Preview March 15-17
With a variety of entertainment venues and restaurants in the area, there's no reason to spend the weekend at home. We've put together a list of fun things to do in the Carrollwood-Northdale area.

The Carrollwood Cultural Center, 4537 Lowell Rd., Tampa, will present Irish Holiday Fairy Tales featuring Finn McCool, the Magic Leprechaun's Cat, during the Arts in the Park Saturday, March 16 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, March 17 from noon to 5 p.m.
Finn McCool's creator, Karen Lynch, will be on hand to sign copies of "Irish Holiday Fairy Tales." Donations will help cats and kittens rescued by Florida Cause for Paws.
Arts in the Park is an annual event celebrating the anniversary of the Carrollwood Cultural Center. The outdoor art festival original artwork, live entertainment, activities for children and the annual Sidewalk Book Sale.
The Carrollwood Players will present "Sex Please We're Sixty," surrounding the people at Mrs. Stancliffe's Rose Cottage Bed & Breakfast, March 15-16 from 8 to 10 p.m. at 4331 Gunn Highway, Tampa. Tickets are $15.
Corbett Preparatory School of IDS's middle school theater program will present the musical, "Grease," March 16-17 at 7 p.m. at the school, 12015 Orange Grove Dr. Tampa. Tickets are $5.
The Salvation Army Tampa Family Store, 13910 N. Nebraska Ave., Tampa, will host a Bridal and Prom Dress Sale Friday, March 15 from 8:30 a.m. to noon. The sale will feature more than 300 dress, many with original tags, shoes, purses, jewelry, men's and kid's formal wear.
The 10th annual Tour de Village 5K run and 1-mile fun walk will take place Saturday, March 16 from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. at Carrollwood Village Millennium Garden, 4535 W. Village Dr. Tampa. The first 200 registered will receive a T-shirt and goodie bag.
Just Grillin, 11743 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Tampa, will host a Big Green Egg event with samples of St. Patrick's Day dishes including cheddar-topped shepherd's pie and Irish coffee cake.
The Carrollwood Area Business Associatin will host its Putt, Roll, Spin & Win Saturday, March 16 at 6 p.m. at Ed Morse Cadillac, 101 E. Fletcher Ave., Tampa. The evening will include a putt-putt golf tournament, casino tables, food, raffle prizes, a silent auction and a cash bar.
Carmel Cafe & Wine Bar, 14306 N. Dale Mabry Highway, Carrollwood, will weekend brunch Sunday, March 17 starting at 11:30 a.m. The Mod Med cuisine features flavors from Mediterranean countries like Italy, Spain, France, Greece and Morocco.
