Deadline to Request a Vote By Mail is Wednesday
Wednesday, Jan. 25, is the last day to request a Vote By Mail/Absentee Ballot By Mail for the Presidential Preference Primary.
From Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office:
Wednesday, Jan. 25, is the deadline for voters to request a Vote By Mail/Absentee Ballot for the Presidential Preference Primary. After 5 p.m. on Jan. 25, voters must appear in-person to request a ballot at any of the 4 Supervisor of Elections Offices.
Vote By Mail, formerly known as absentee voting, is one of three ways for registered Republicans to cast their ballot in the upcoming Presidential Preference Primary and Temple Terrace referendum. "Vote By Mail gives registered voters an alternative to physically voting at the polls. It allows the voters to study the issues or candidates, and mark their ballot at a time and location of their own choosing," said Earl Lennard, Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections.
For the Presidential Preference Primary and Temple Terrace referendum, the Hillsborough County Supervisor of Elections Office has mailed over 14,500 Vote By Mail Ballots and 4,782 have been returned. The deadline for voters to return their ballot is 7 p.m. on Jan. 31. Voters can request and track the status of their Vote By Mail Ballot online by visiting www.VoteHillsborough.org.
