As people across America recognize men and women who have served in the armed forces, students in Carrollwood-Northdale schools will get a day off.

All Hillsborough County Public Schools are closed Monday, Nov. 12, in observance of the holiday. Most Hillsborough County government offices will also shut down for the day.

Carrollwood and Northdale students return to class on Tuesday, Nov. 13, but they won’t have to hit the books for too long. The Thanksgiving/Fall Break runs Nov. 19-22, according to the school district’s calendar.
