Carrollwood and Northdale Schools Closed Monday, Tuesday

All Hillsborough County public schools are closing up for the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

Carrollwood and Northdale students who weren’t quite ready to hit the books after the long winter vacation are getting the reprieve they wanted.

All Hillsborough County public schools are closed Monday, Jan. 21 in observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday. The schools join a host of other government agencies shuttering their doors in recognition of the slain civil rights leader.

Public schools are also closed Tuesday, Jan. 22 for students only. Teachers need to report to work.

Hillsborough schools closed out their second grading period and first semester on Friday, Jan. 19. The next day off for students comes Feb. 8 when kids in West Hillsborough County get to enjoy Florida State Fair Day. East Hillsborough students don’t have to feel left out. They get Strawberry Festival Day on March 4.
